  1. Would be helpful if Glasgow City Council didn’t block the video from playing at work…

  2. We’ve also set up a vimeo channel which has all the versions of the film to watch (but you can’t download them via vimeo) – see http://vimeo.com/channels/desistance

If you go to this page, then click on videos (right hand menu), then click on ‘plays’.

  3. Beautifully produced; a lovely reflexive and reflective exploration of the issues by Allan. Well done everyone involved in making this film! I’ll be showing this and discussing the issues it raises with my second year Criminology students – they’ll love it. Thanks so much for a wonderful educational and change-inspiring resource.

  4. I will be using the road to crime as a film viewing/discussion exercise for our 1st yr criminology students in induction week at DMU. will take feedback and return to you. Infact if you let me know what specific Q’s you would like answering/want feedback on from students viewing this I am happy to gather this info?

Moreover we will be using this film with our2nd yrs for a new option module I lead on called working with offenders. Will take feedback and return to you as per above also if that helps.

Feel free to email me if you want any further info at my work email address. Di :-)

  5. Thank you so much for this very moving and informative film. I wish everybody in the U.S.A. would watch it. I am recommending it highly.

  6. Thanks Di, Thanks Susanne — that means a lot (especially coming from expert criminologist and a brilliant film-maker). We’ll definitely be in touch with both of you asap. Shadd

  7. I watched the film today and was very moved by its beauty, clarity, and power. I’m not involved in the criminal justice system in any way, but as someone who cares deeply about improving the lives of men and boys, I hope this film is seen far and wide. Far too many lives that could be redeemed are being thrown away, and the cost is truly catastrophic.

Thank you. I’ll certainly do what I can to make others aware of this film.
