Co-production locality teams
Local authorities will each establish a team which will be a partnership between:
- Local authority social work services
- Local advocacy project
- Local service user organisation ( or involvement of service users through the advocacy project )
It is anticipated that the teams will include two social work service employees (one of whom will be a frontline practitioner), one advocacy worker and two service users plus any supporters they might need.
Team support: Each team will have either Kathryn or Beth as their named academic supporter. They will act as a sounding board and offer advice to the team by e-mail, telephone and attendance at least one locality meeting per stage. There will be access to support from IRISS. Also the local adult support and protection development worker who first set up the team may retain a facilitative role to help the team progress its idea within the wider adult support and protection structures and staff groups.
