We’re in the process of building an online learning resource to help people working in the area of social services to learn more about finding, accessing and using research and evidence to support their practice. In the meantime, we thought we’d share some of the free tools we use when we’re working on our Outlines to support social services practitioners.

After a busy couple of weeks with a huge interest in our work, we’re very excited to share the first outputs from the Evidence Search and Summary Service: ESSS Outlines. The first three topics have been: disability hate crime reporting; child sexual abuse; and parental substance misuse.
Last week saw the launch of the new Iriss Evidence Search and Summary Service (ESSS). This post gives a bit of background as to who we are, where we come from and what we’d like to achieve with the service.
