People felt it needed to be person centred, include families and value things like health, dignity and independence.<\/p>\n<p>People also recognised that their services would be integrated with health support and that they hoped that there was more of an &#8216;open and sharing culture&#8217; amongst providers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What do you need to get there?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.iriss.org.uk\/fitforthefuture\/files\/2013\/11\/whatweneed.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-173 aligncenter\" alt=\"whatweneed\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.iriss.org.uk\/fitforthefuture\/files\/2013\/11\/whatweneed-300x259.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"259\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.iriss.org.uk\/fitforthefuture\/files\/2013\/11\/whatweneed-300x259.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.iriss.org.uk\/fitforthefuture\/files\/2013\/11\/whatweneed-1024x886.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/blogs.iriss.org.uk\/fitforthefuture\/files\/2013\/11\/whatweneed-346x300.jpg 346w, https:\/\/blogs.iriss.org.uk\/fitforthefuture\/files\/2013\/11\/whatweneed.jpg 1147w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Investing in high quality staff was a very common theme. People felt their staff should be paid more, that they needed more access to training (and funding for training). This was something that was highlighted by Scottish Care&#8217;s own Ranald Mair <a href=\"http:\/\/www.heraldscotland.com\/news\/home-news\/care-firm-organisation-warns-of-looming-recruitment-crisis.22710462\">at the event<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>There was one delegate who wanted to remove the &#8216;artificial boundaries&#8217; from the transition from hospital to home or a homely setting ; it&#8217;s all the same person and all the same &#8216;pot&#8217; of funding!<\/p>\n<p>Interesting conversations on the day centred around the Liverpool Pathway- abolishing it, reframing it, training for it.
