Before the JAM you may want to check out some of the evidence people have submitted about relationships.

On the day come with an open mind and bags of energy, and together we can design better ways to support young people and workers continue to have contact with people they want in their lives.
Please arrive at 9.30am to get ready for the event, and grab something to eat and drink
before we start at 10am sharp. The JAM will be held at the Renfield Center, 260 BathCentre, Glasgow, G2 4JP.
The JAM is going to be a fun and lively event. You can wear whatever you want and if you want to bring along some music we can play it over the sound system.
We want to make sure the day is a productive as possible, so your team leaves with a strong idea that will address the barriers you experience. We will set up lots of different ‘stations’ in the room (the most important being the energy station, filled with food and drinks!), to provide you with stuff you might find helpful on the day. If there is anything specific you’d like on the day to help you with your ideas please ask us and we’ll do what we can to include it. This goes for people too. We have invited some people who are interested in the barriers different groups are addressing, and may be able to help out. If there are other people, types of skills, or knowledge you think would help your group, let us know and we’ll see if we can invite these people too.
At the JAM your team will be paired with a facilitator and someone who is experienced at visualising information to support you to move from: understanding your barrier, to identifying an idea you want to test, to developing how to make your idea a reality.
At the end of the JAM your team will be asked to present your idea to everyone who is there. We will film this presentation so you can use the film to share your ideas more widely with staff and young people after the JAM. We will also be putting photographs and videos of the event online. If you don’t want to be in photographs or films taken during the day, please say so when you sign in at the start of the day.
At the end of the day
Young people who are attending the JAM will be paid for their time, so make sure you bring your bank details, or we’ll pay you by cheque. If paying you may affect any benefits you receive please let us know and we’ll get you a gift voucher of your choice. At the end of the event make sure you fill in one of our invoice sheets.
If you are a worker and are coming out of working hours please mention this to Fiona and I. We may also be able to pay some travel expenses, so please keep your receipts and let us know if we can help with this expense.
After the JAM
After the JAM we would like you to test your idea. We can support you to test your idea and help you gather evidence which indicates what is successful and what may need to change. If there are any other things we can help with please make sure to ask us!
