How do you deliver compassionate care?
In 2018 we put a call out to the sector to ask how they deliver compassionate care to the people they support.
This is an ongoing appeal, which hopes to supplement the work we have been doing through our partnership work in East Renfrewshire and Perth and Kinross.
We have had some wonderful examples shared with us. However, we are looking for more examples from people working across the social work sector.
We are particularly interested in what a compassionate approach looks and feels like for both the person receiving the care and the person delivering it.
We are open to the format these examples take, but it would be great to have some quotes or a description of the experience โ including what sort of things the staff do to make sure that the care that they deliver is considered compassionate.
It is hoped that by developing an evidence base of how people deliver good care, from a person-centred perspective, it will help the sector to transfer over to the New Health and Social Care Standards.
Examples will be shared with our groups, on this blog and through Iriss social media platforms.
