They have a long history of working in partnership to continually improve the support available to those most in need.
JJ Turner and Gayle Smart are the Principal Commissioning Officers within the East Renfrewshire HSCP. JJ is a qualified Social Worker and has worked in the Social Care Fields of Older Persons; Children & Families; Youth Justice & Criminal Justice. He has been working in the Commissioning Sector since July 2013. Gayle has an extensive background in adult care services in both service management and design and has worked across all sectors throughout her career in social care.
JJ Turner promotes positive social care standards and has worked in partnership with many different organisation with this at the heart of his practice. He was keen to become involved in this joint venture between Iriss and the Care Inspectorate around the New Health and Social Standards. His aim is to see clear guidance/tools that will enable both the front line worker in supporting the most vulnerable in our society to the highest standards and the Providers of Social Care provision to improve the training of staff in the new standards and in the evidencing of the new standards in practice.
Gayle was involved with the development of the National Care Standards back in 2002 and is keen to support the embedding of the new standards within health and social care practice.
